COVER ART:
Created for Boston based rapper RIQQY and his 4 singles missed calls, sweater weather, nervous and home improvement.
With these we wanted each cover to tell a story that went along with his personal brand as well as mine. He found me through my music series he sent me each song so that way I could visualize color tones and imagery that came to mind with every listen. I wanted to highlight text, because with my work I often include a graphic graffiti style text with is synomonise with rap music. I used harsh lines, more muted colors with some bright accents to give each cover its own distinct personality while being harmonious as a set of 4. All songs can be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music.
ILLUSTRATION:
created for Align Magazine and their theme Absurdity
For this project I was allowed full creative freedom as most of my work follows under the category of absurdity with whimsical surreal elements that are often placed in modern industrial environments. I choose to create this work called “Take me Back to the Ocean” inspired by my longing to feel connected to nature and home. I chose dark oceanic tones of blue green with pops of red and neon orange to contrast the painting. This artwork was featured in the front inside cover of this editions magazine.
COVER ART:
Created for LA pop artist Taylor Jules and her single Helicopter.
For this work Taylor and her management team asked me to design cover art as well as typography to use in other branding and songs. First they sent me a photo and a color story they were interested in for the cover I listened to the song for inspiration on how I wanted translate a fun summery energy that the song let out. After a couple of revisions here was the final version. This song along with other works by Taylor can be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music. Later Taylor asked my assistance in creating another cover for her song Adickted.
